The Beacon School promotes academic and personal endeavour and recognises the individual talents and achievements of each student, celebrating success and rewarding excellence. We are focused upon producing self-confident, responsible and articulate young people who will become mature and responsible citizens.

The school was established in 1989 following the merger of two schools.  We are an 11-18 mixed comprehensive school open to students of all abilities.  Our mission statement is "Achieving Together".  This reflects the outstanding commitment of the staff and the individual success stories of the students.
